AS-Motor unveils new-look, award-winning sherpa mower range
The AS 940 Sherpa range of ride-on mowers from has been redesigned for 2023 – and has already won a prestigious award for excellence in sustainable product design.
AS-Motor developed the robust, versatile Sherpa specifically for mowing high grass. Technical innovations for 2023 include improvements to the fuel tank, locking mechanism, tyres and tyre sealant, with a choice of engine now on offer to meet different budgets. Aesthetically, the mowers feature new-look paintwork and an additional front panel.
The redesigned AS 940 Sherpa range has already attracted international acclaim, winning the ‘German Design Award 2023’. The awards aim to promote sustainable transformation from a design perspective, recognising outstanding products that provide answers to the challenges of our time. An illustrious panel of experts praised the Sherpa’s striking design, describing it as: “A compact ride-on mower reduced to the essentials for sustainable and ecologically oriented green maintenance.”
The AS 940 Sherpa 4WD embodies sustainability in its function and design. Lightweight and agile, with a low centre of gravity, the mower is ideal for managing the high grass and slopes of meadows that are vital for nature conservation and biodiversity. Constructed with over 99% recyclable parts, the mower’s powerful engine, cross-blade cutting system and permanent all-wheel drive ensure efficiency and durability.
The AS 940 Sherpa 4WD XL model offers large tyres for even higher ground clearance and stability, while the AS 940 Sherpa 4WD RC is the world’s first rough-terrain ride-on mower with remote control. All models combine ergonomic comfort with safety and ease of use.
