AS 470 2in1 4T

Mulching and mowing with side discharge

The clean-out mower with a drive function. Powered by a Briggs & Stratton engine with up to 5.5 hp and with a 47 cm cutting width, the AS 470 2in1 4T is perfectly suited for larger areas and slight inclines. At 36 kg the mulching mower provides excellent handling due to a balanced distribution of weight while a third crankshaft bearing and friction discs on the mulching blade protect the engine in the event of unseen obstacles. A galvanised steel mulching unit with reinforced edges guarantees a long service life, robustness and operator safety, even in difficult conditions. The professional mulching mower is factory-equipped with side discharge, easily cutting grass up to 40 cm high. The AS 470 2in1 4T’s optional mulch plate delivers even finer mulching results. The mulching blade cleanly cuts high grass up to 18 cm and simultaneously generates an airflow that whirls the cuttings in the mulching unit. The mulching blade’s multiple cutting edges chop and mulch the grass several times. The cuttings then sink into the turf, forming a layer of mulch that both fertilises and protects the lawn from drying out. The AS 470 2in1 4T saves 30% more time when compared with collection bag lawn mowers by avoiding the need to empty the collection bag or dispose of the cuttings. Double ball-bearing front wheels and rear wheel drive provide easy handling and the front wheels’ special wedge shape minimizes impact on the grass. Aggressive tread rear wheels ensure optimal traction and propulsion. Cutting height can be adjusted from 40–80 mm via a spring-supported system, by foot or by hand.
